Marilyn Haldane, originally from Albuquerque and having spent 16 years in Alaska, returned to New Mexico in 2000. Motivated by the need to support her children, she embarked on a career working with animals. Despite having primarily owned shepherd mixes that didn't require professional grooming, Marilyn was eager to learn. She quickly grasped grooming skills and found a natural aptitude for it, particularly enjoying working with special needs and older dogs. With over 20 years of grooming experience under her belt, Marilyn has owned Pretty Pets since 2008. Initially running a mobile grooming business before acquiring the salon, she eventually offered both mobile and salon services. Marilyn's grown children have also been involved in her business endeavors, and she currently shares her home with four cats and an adorable Bichon mix.
