I started my animal career as a kennel assistant at a local veterinary hospital. From there, I attended college and became an LVT. I worked as an LVT for about 10 years, until I had a baby. I had began grooming LGDs on the farm to help pay for supplies for grooming my own dogs. After my daughter was born, I have what I call my "momentary lack of sanity" and attended nursing school. I became an RN and worked in our local hospital for about 2 years. I missed my dogs and cats, so I decided to go back to grooming full time. I worked as an in home groomer for 6 years, then opened up a salon to be able to offer boarding services. About two years after opening up the first salon, we had grown so much that we(my husband and I) decided to open up another location about 40 minutes away from the first one. Now, both I and my husband are full time groomers, with two other full time groomers, two training groomers, and about 10 other employees between the two locations.
