Courtney D. McWilliams is the owner and founder of MaryMac's Doggie Retreat, specializing in caring for dogs with anxiety. With a background in Social Services and a Master's in Social Work, Courtney recognized the parallels between separation anxiety in children and dogs. In 2017, she created MaryMac's to provide specialized care for anxious dogs while their owners are away. During the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, Courtney taught herself grooming skills and became the leading groomer in New Orleans, specializing in hard-to-handle dogs and creative grooming. Proud to be the first Black-owned doggie daycare in Louisiana, Courtney is passionate about making a positive impact in her community. She has gained recognition on various platforms for her work in pet care.
