The Employee That Never Sleeps

A real life experiment about what happens if you never answer the phone

It’sssss Friday Daily Groomers!

I have to start with a confession. Today, I’m not going to write a typical email.

I sat down this morning with a hot cup of coffee and every intention to write the usual, but I changed my mind.

I even had the perfect email queued up about a salon that has such an insane customer experience playbook their clients must leave feeling like 2000’s Brad Pitt (you know, before he got the gray and became uncool 😂).

But I’m not going to write about that. You know why?

Because I woke up to this text…

If this stopped you in your tracks like it did to me… you’re going to love today’s email 👇

Do you remember the email I sent 3 weeks ago??

(Probably not… that’s okay I can’t even remember what I had for dinner last night 😂)

It was all about how an AI assistant could help answer the bajillion inbound calls groomers get everyday. I’m talking all the new client calls, spam calls, after hours calls, what’s your pricing calls, you name it.

3 weeks ago, it was just an idea. But I’m here to report, someone took me up on this crazy idea and started using it in their salon.

The verdict? IT ACTUALLY WORKS.

That text above was from my friend Stacy who’s been using it as her full time receptionist everyday for the last 3 weeks.

Stacy runs a busy grooming salon in Pueblo, Colorado—and the phone never stops ringing. She does her best to answer every call, but with a full schedule, it’s tough to keep up.

As soon as we trained our AI receptionist on her business policies, hours, and other details, here’s what happened…

Her AI receptionist landed 16 new clients. SIXTEEN! 🤯🤯🤯

Here was her notepad after just 1 week…

Now imagine the work involved in fielding 85 calls a week—sifting out spam, identifying who’s a genuine (and potentially long-term) client, and who’s just kicking tires.

It’s a ton of work, right? No wonder you never answered my texts before, Stacy 😂

During our 3 week experiment, Stacy gained 16 new clients—that’s $2,453 in revenue that could’ve called the the next groomer they found on Google if they hit the voicemail.

It’s kind of surreal. I’m still in disbelief if I’m being honest it especially when you tie dollar figures to it.

Since starting this a few weeks ago, it’s already gotten INSANELY better. It’s even starting to develop its own personality—accent and all.

One groomer in Oklahoma named theirs “Mateo,” complete with a charming accent. When I called, I couldn’t tell if he was gathering info about my dog or gearing up to serenade me with sweet, sweet Enrique Iglesias songs. 🤣🤣

Mateo sounds even better the more you call him too. He’s learning who’s calling, what they need, and how to serve them better. (So basically, a 24/7 team member who never calls in sick or needs a lunch break.)

Anyway, if you don’t believe me or Stacy, take a look at what real customers are saying when they call businesses already using our AI assistants…

Long story short, Stacy was not the only one that reached out to me about getting this setup… we ran this same exact test with 10 people over the past week.

And if you think that Stacy is just special and this won’t really work, the others had similar results!

(Don’t worry Stacy, you’re special to ME 😉)

The feedback from everyone has been so positive that - we’ve decided to invite 25 more daily groomers to try this new AI thing out.

But here’s the catch…

Right now The Daily Groomer team is small. As much as I want to help everyone setup their own AI assistant, I just can’t ☹️

So we’re going to limit this batch to only 25 businesses.

⚠️Since space is limited, please only signup if you’re a grooming business getting at least 10+ calls a day and open to using automation to make your life easier. ⚠️

If that’s you, here’s the link to signup:

Get My Own AI Assistant

If the link still lets you submit, it means that you made it into the first 25 (so congrats🥳 ). You’ll be speaking to yours truly, where I’ll be learning about your business so I can train up your assistant!

If this all sounds straight out of a sci-fi movie and you’re not on board yet, just wait… by year’s end, you’ll be hearing about how effective this tech is from the grooming community itself—not just some Friday-morning dog blogger. (to my mom and my dog Zulu, I’m more than that! ❤️)

Once you try it out for yourself, don’t be surprised if we reach out for your thoughts—after all, every bit of feedback helps us train it on the ins and outs of your specific business, making it even sharper over time.

It’s a little bit like training a dog to do new tricks, except this one’s phone-savvy and never sleeps!

For the love of exciting, yet kinda scary advancements in grooming,

Alex 🐶

P.S. Just think—while you’re reading this, AI could be assisting your next five clients in the background. Wild, right? 🤯
